The problem only seems to occur on Windows 7, 64 bit, with SP1 installed. Extract from the PMR as follows:
"The problem looks to be documented as Software Problem Record (SPR) # GMAA8GQJN5 with title "Notes Buttons Issue After Win 7 Sp1 Installation" . Win7 64bit installations without SP1 do not look to be impacted, the problem starts after installing SP1.
The SPR status is that the problem will not be addressed in current 85x codestream. Reason for this maybe unexpected status is probably an available and simple workaround (press F9), the problem being relatively new and no additional clients haven raised it for the moment (you look to be N° 2).
I will add your PMR to the SPR to increase it's weight. If more clients raise the problem in a PMR, the weight attributed to the SPR will rise, which influences the correction process with maybe a more quick fix in the pipeline.
The environment description that I currently have does not specify if SP1 is installed or not on the systems showing the problem.
Please specify if this corresponds to your setup and it appears not on Win7 64bit installs without SP1, and it occurs on installs with SP1.".
I've updated the PMR that it is indeed related to machines with SP1.
Further update to PMR as follows:
"I have added your PMR to the existing SPR.
We can only wait now for the weight to increase and the SPR to be re-opened to be re-evaluated. Strangely enough, very few clients have signalled this problem until now, hence the current status that it is not to be addressed in current codestream (you are the 2nd one - I meanwhile might have a 3rd, but still waiting confirmation on the OS specification).
To solve when appearing I can for the moment only remind the workarounds (do F9) or revert to Win7 without SP1.
".
So anyone experiencing this problem, please raise a PMR otherwise the SPR will remain closed.
